Today we had a lazy day exploring Hyannis. After a bit of an adventure picking up some supplies from Trader Joes (supermarket) for the next few days in the hostel, we headed to the beach for a read and a swim. The beach is nice but no more so than the Costa Blanca. The whole area feels like a cross between the Norfolk broads, Plymouth and the mid-east coast of Spain!
The hostel is very nice - it is a newly converted seaside house that was donated by a local, so is well kitted out and very clean, although we have to sleep in dorm bunks as that's all they had left. It's also relatively expensive - next weekend we're staying in the Marriott in Boston (albeit with a friends of employee discount) and it's cheaper than this hostel!
