Took the greyhound from Noosa to Hervey Bay – our base before we set off to Fraser Island tomorrow. The Palace hostel doesn’t live up to its name – pretty grim, but functional. Met up with our group for Fraser; there are 11 of us and our guide, Rango, so a nice small group. Went to the supermarket to stock up for the next 3 days on the island where we need to be self sufficient. Early night because we have to be up at 5am to have a “driving on sand” briefing, load up our cars and catch the ferry at 0830.
